Follow the step-by-step guide below to upgrade the TZ DDoS Protection WHM Plugin on your WHM/cPanel server without losing configuration, logs, or license data.
Before You Upgrade
- WHM/cPanel must be running normally
- Root SSH access to the server
- Existing TZ DDoS Protection installation
- ionCube Loader enabled for PHP CLI
The upgrade process preserves your configuration, logs, license, and quarantine data.
Step 1: Connect to Your Server
Access your server via SSH and log in as root.
Step 2: Run the Upgrade Command
wget -qO install.sh https://ddos-protection.tzsmm.com/install.sh bash install.sh --update
The system will automatically download the latest version and update the plugin safely.
Step 3: Verify in WHM
After the upgrade completes, log in to WHM and navigate to: WHM → Plugins → TZ DDoS Protection to confirm the latest version is active and running.
